A horse does not live by hay and water alone, but needs a lot of different types of care besides daily movement and health checks.
Hoofs need to be trimmed every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the horse, vaccination is updated every three years, deworming is done twice a year, teeth are floated once a year by a professional, and when needed we take our horses to the horse clinic for treatment.
The cost of health care sums up to around 850 euros a year for each horse.
